Colour has always been at the heart of PeterJames, and Wella Professionals has been part of our hairdressing education from the very beginning.
We work with Wella’s premium professional colour portfolio, giving our colourists access to one of the most extensive professional colour palettes available.
From beautiful brunettes and dimensional blondes to rich coppers and reds, grey blending, complete grey coverage, high-shine glosses and complete colour transformations, an extensive palette gives us the freedom to formulate rather than simply select a shade.
Colours can be blended, balanced and personalised to complement your skin tone, eye colour, features, natural depth and desired finish.

Every member of the PeterJames team is professionally trained with Wella Professionals, with education continuing throughout their career rather than ending with qualification.
Our relationship with Wella includes in-salon education approximately every two months with Wella Professional Educators, allowing our team to continually develop their knowledge of colour science, formulation, technique, innovation and emerging trends.
Peter and James are also continuing their advanced colour education with Wella Professionals, further developing the technical knowledge behind the colour work we deliver in the salon.

Permanent colour isn’t always the answer. From permanent and demi-permanent colour to high-shine glazing, tonal work, lightening, grey blending and complete grey coverage, Wella Professionals gives our colourists an extensive palette of shades and technologies to work with.

For lightening and more technically demanding colour work, our colourists can incorporate PeterJames’ advanced protection and repair protocols, including BlondorPlex, K18 and System Professional.
We’ll also tell you when the hair needs something different from what you originally had in mind. Protecting the integrity of your hair will always take priority over chasing a result that the hair isn’t ready for.

Corrective colour
Some colour journeys require more than a standard appointment.
Previous colour, banding, unwanted tone, compromised condition or a significant change in direction can require multiple techniques, formulations and stages.
Our corrective colour work begins with understanding the existing canvas before creating a realistic plan for where we can take it.
That can include major transformations, colour balancing and our Blonde to Brunette service, where missing underlying pigment is carefully rebuilt before the final colour is created.
Correction isn’t about rushing from A to B.
It’s about getting there beautifully — while protecting the hair along the way.
