Root Stretch Toner
An additional toner applied at the root, to create a softer, more seamless transition between your natural root and your lightened hair. A root shadow, a root melt, a stretched root — the effect is the same idea: depth at the top, brightness through the lengths, and a regrowth line that blurs instead of announcing itself.

Blondes and lightened hair who want the regrowth line softened rather than eliminated, and who want to stretch the time between full colour appointments.
What to know
- This is an additional toner, not a replacement for one. If you’ve just had a lightening service, you still need the BlondorPlex Toner to refine the overall tone — this sits on top of that, doing a different job at the root.
- It isn’t grey coverage and it isn’t lightening. It’s a blending and shine service on colour you already have.
- It works well as an in-between appointment when a full regrowth isn’t due yet.

“I was visiting from overseas and usually quite pedantic with my foils. I found Zowie on instagram and I’m so glad I did! She made me the most perfect golden blonde that I’ve been trying to get hairdressers to achieve for a long time now. She was also very thorough and gentle and all around a good person. Hopefully my photos and videos do it justice. iPhone photos tend to make things more white/grey than they are.”

“I know a few people who go to PeterJames and their hair always looks fabulous so I thought I would try too after having a disaster! From the min I worked in for my patch test I felt welcome (so did my daughter who loved the dogs!) James and I talked over what we could do and where I wanted to be (was dark brown/grey! And wanted blonde) he explained it would take a few appointments which I was absolutely fine with as he was so honest.. he booked me in with Peter for the following week and again, Peter went over and explained everything to me, he advised on products etc and I left feeling amazing and had a nice Colour after getting highlights.. unfortunately I was really unwell between my appointments and in and out of hospital but I kept in touch and Peter even sent my products I had ordered to my parents house where I was staying for a bit.I am just home from my second appointment and my hair looks and feels fantastic, the colour is amazing and I cannot believe the shine (I’ve never had a shine when having blonde hair before!) just arranged to go out with my friend tonight as I feel so much more confident!! Does it replace the toner after my lightening service?
No. It's an additional toner, not a replacement. If you've just had a lightening service, you still need the BlondorPlex Toner to refine the overall tone; the root stretch sits on top of that, doing a different job at the root.
Will it cover grey or make my hair lighter?
No. It isn't grey coverage and it isn't lightening. It's a blending and shine service on colour you already have.
Will it get rid of my regrowth line completely?
It's for blondes and lightened hair who want the regrowth line softened rather than eliminated.
Can I book it between full colour appointments?
Yes. It works well as an in-between appointment when a full regrowth isn't due yet, and it's designed to stretch the time between full colour appointments.
