BlondorPlex Cream Toner
Add this to any highlights or lightening service where bleach is used.
Lightening gets the pigment out. The toner is what decides the shade you actually leave with — neutralising the yellow and orange that lifting exposes, and taking your blonde to the tone you asked for.
Why this one
When we lighten with BlondorPlex, bond-building technology is built into the lightening process itself, helping to protect and reinforce the hair’s internal bonds while it lifts rather than trying to repair them afterwards. This toner completes that service. It’s the first of our three pillars for an unbreakable blonde, and the reason we don’t use a cheaper lightener.
What to know
- This is the toner to book with any bleach service — full head, half head, T-section or balayage.
- It doesn’t cover root stretches, colour melts or additional bespoke toning. Those need a separate root stretch toner on top.
- If no bleach is involved in your service, the standard toner is the one you want instead.

“I was visiting from overseas and usually quite pedantic with my foils. I found Zowie on instagram and I’m so glad I did! She made me the most perfect golden blonde that I’ve been trying to get hairdressers to achieve for a long time now. She was also very thorough and gentle and all around a good person. “I know a few people who go to PeterJames and their hair always looks fabulous so I thought I would try too after having a disaster! From the min I worked in for my patch test I felt welcome (so did my daughter who loved the dogs!) James and I talked over what we could do and where I wanted to be (was dark brown/grey! And wanted blonde) he explained it would take a few appointments which I was absolutely fine with as he was so honest.. he booked me in with Peter for the following week and again, Peter went over and explained everything to me, he advised on products etc and I left feeling amazing and had a nice Colour after getting highlights.. unfortunately I was really unwell between my appointments and in and out of hospital but I kept in touch and Peter even sent my products I had ordered to my parents house where I was staying for a bit.I am just home from my second appointment and my hair looks and feels fantastic, the colour is amazing and I cannot believe the shine (I’ve never had a shine when having blonde hair before!) just arranged to go out with my friend tonight as I feel so much more confident!! Which services do I need this toner with?
Any highlights or lightening service where bleach is used: Full Head, Half Head or T-Section Highlights, or Balayage & Babylights.
What does the toner actually do?
Lightening gets the pigment out. The toner decides the shade you actually leave with, neutralising the yellow and orange that lifting exposes and taking your blonde to the tone you asked for.
What if no bleach is involved in my service?
Then the standard toner is the one you want instead. The BlondorPlex Toner is for services where we use lightener, and carries the bond-building side of the service.
Does it include a root stretch?
No. It doesn't cover root stretches, colour melts or additional bespoke toning. Those need a separate Root Stretch Toner on top.
Do I need to add it to a bleach & tone service?
No. Full Head Bleach & Tone and Re-Growth Bleach & Tone already include their toner.
