Full Head Bleach & Tone
Lightening the whole head — root to tip — followed by a toner to take it to the finished shade. This is the service for an all-over platinum or global blonde, rather than highlights or dimensional colour.
What’s included
Both stages. The lightener is BlondorPlex, which has bond-building technology built into the lifting process rather than added afterwards, and the finish is a bespoke BlondorPlex Toner formulated to your desired shade. Unlike the highlighting services, there’s nothing to add — it’s the first of our three pillars for an unbreakable blonde doing its job.

A cut or a blow-dry. Book a cut, wash and blow-dry or a wash and blow-dry alongside this service.
What to know before you book
- A consultation and a patch test are required before this service. Whether it’s suitable at all depends on your existing colour, your hair history and its condition — that’s what the consultation establishes.
- Going blonde may take more than one appointment. If your hair is dark, previously coloured, or already compromised, we will not push it further than it can safely go in one visit. We’d rather take you there over two or three appointments with your hair intact.
- Bleach is the most demanding thing you can do to hair. We’ll talk to you about a bond treatment and about what your aftercare needs to look like.
- Once you’re blonde you’ll need regrowth appointments — see Re-Growth Bleach & Tone.
- If it’s maximum brightness and precision you’re after, The Platinum Card is the more comprehensive version of this.

“I know a few people who go to PeterJames and their hair always looks fabulous so I thought I would try too after having a disaster! From the min I worked in for my patch test I felt welcome (so did my daughter who loved the dogs!) James and I talked over what we could do and where I wanted to be (was dark brown/grey! And wanted blonde) he explained it would take a few appointments which I was absolutely fine with as he was so honest.. he booked me in with Peter for the following week and again, Peter went over and explained everything to me, he advised on products etc and I left feeling amazing and had a nice Colour after getting highlights.. unfortunately I was really unwell between my appointments and in and out of hospital but I kept in touch and Peter even sent my products I had ordered to my parents house where I was staying for a bit.I am just home from my second appointment and my hair looks and feels fantastic, the colour is amazing and I cannot believe the shine (I’ve never had a shine when having blonde hair before!) just arranged to go out with my friend tonight as I feel so much more confident!! Can I go blonde in one appointment?
Not always. If your hair is dark, previously coloured or already compromised, we won't push it further than it can safely go in one visit, and we'd rather take you there over two or three appointments with your hair intact. A consultation beforehand establishes whether it's suitable.
How is this different from highlights?
This lightens the whole head, root to tip, for an all-over platinum or global blonde. Highlights lighten sections of hair, keep some of your base colour showing through, and don't include a toner.
How is it different from The Platinum Card?
The Platinum Card is our more comprehensive blonding service, for maximum brightness and precision, using back-to-back foiling through the entire head and performed by Peter and James only. If you want an all-over blonde without the precision foiling, this is the service to look at.
