The route
Stockbridge sits north of the New Town, so the trip to Dalry Road usually means cutting across through the West End and past Haymarket rather than following any one straight road — it’s a cross-town journey, not a local one.
Why it’s worth it anyway
For a colour appointment or a straightforward cut, that’s a reasonable ask. For scalp and hair concerns specifically, it’s more common for people to travel for a specialist appointment than to expect to find one on their own doorstep — so the distance tends to matter less than it would for a regular trim. Check availability and pricing for whatever you need.
