Foils placed around the front hairline and face frame, finished with a toner to refine and refresh the colour you already have. It lifts the brightness in the one place it makes the most difference.
Who it’s for
Anyone whose colour still looks good through the lengths but has gone flat around the face — and who wants a quick lift rather than a full appointment.
What to know before you book
- Only bookable within ten weeks of your last colour appointment. If it’s been longer than that, or you need more than the face frame doing, book the appropriate highlighting service instead.
- Book a wash and blow-dry alongside it.
- If you want the whole parting brightened rather than just the face frame, T-section highlights is the next size up.

“I was visiting from overseas and usually quite pedantic with my foils. I found Zowie on instagram and I’m so glad I did! She made me the most perfect golden blonde that I’ve been trying to get hairdressers to achieve for a long time now. She was also very thorough and gentle and all around a good person. “Just had my hair done at PeterJames for the very first time. Went there on recommendation from my daughter. What can I say- I absolutely love my new cut and colour from James. “I know a few people who go to PeterJames and their hair always looks fabulous so I thought I would try too after having a disaster! From the min I worked in for my patch test I felt welcome (so did my daughter who loved the dogs!) James and I talked over what we could do and where I wanted to be (was dark brown/grey! And wanted blonde) he explained it would take a few appointments which I was absolutely fine with as he was so honest.. he booked me in with Peter for the following week and again, Peter went over and explained everything to me, he advised on products etc and I left feeling amazing and had a nice Colour after getting highlights.. unfortunately I was really unwell between my appointments and in and out of hospital but I kept in touch and Peter even sent my products I had ordered to my parents house where I was staying for a bit.I am just home from my second appointment and my hair looks and feels fantastic, the colour is amazing and I cannot believe the shine (I’ve never had a shine when having blonde hair before!) just arranged to go out with my friend tonight as I feel so much more confident!!
