“I know a few people who go to PeterJames and their hair always looks fabulous so I thought I would try too after having a disaster! From the min I worked in for my patch test I felt welcome (so did my daughter who loved the dogs!) James and I talked over what we could do and where I wanted to be (was dark brown/grey! And wanted blonde) he explained it would take a few appointments which I was absolutely fine with as he was so honest.. he booked me in with Peter for the following week and again, Peter went over and explained everything to me, he advised on products etc and I left feeling amazing and had a nice Colour after getting highlights.. unfortunately I was really unwell between my appointments and in and out of hospital but I kept in touch and Peter even sent my products I had ordered to my parents house where I was staying for a bit.I am just home from my second appointment and my hair looks and feels fantastic, the colour is amazing and I cannot believe the shine (I’ve never had a shine when having blonde hair before!) just arranged to go out with my friend tonight as I feel so much more confident!! It was thinning, like straw, tuggy after washing (couldn't pull my fingers through it), but now the texture is silken. For those of us of a certain age, or anyone suffering hair loss, "Peter James" (Haymarket) has one of only two hair salons in Scotland that has a Scalp, Menopause & Hair Loss Clinic. “I had a really wonderful, 10/10 experience at PeterJames Hairdressing this morning. After cutting my own hair for several years due to the pandemic and then having newborn twins, my hair was in a sorry state 😳 - totally uneven, jagged layers, a real mess. Zowie did an incredible job repairing my hair and transforming it into something I could be proud of (and no longer embarrassed by)! Peter, James, and Zowie all took the time at the start to discuss different options with me, clearly communicating what they thought would suit my hair and face shape best. They made me feel so heard and valued, and just really good about myself! The process of cutting and styling my hair went so smoothly. Zowie was so easy to talk to and she did a great job communicating each part of the process as it was happening. I couldn't be happier with the end result. “I’ve been going to see Peter since the salon opened and love it there, and would suggest them to anyone. I always come away feeling great about my hair but also myself. But today I had an amazing chat with Peter about the work they are doing to improve peoples scalps and their passion to help women going through perimenopause and menopause. Peter said someone close to him started going through this and he made it their mission to learn all they could. I’ve also seen the amount they learn about a product before bringing it into the salon and how important it is to them that they only suggest natural products. To see how much they care about their clients health and wellbeing, legit makes me emotional. 5 stars isn’t enough? They go above and far beyond.”

“Great experience, I went for a smoothing treatment for my frizzy hair with Zowie. Really friendly, lovely with great knowledge and advice to help an inexperienced person like myself. Such a nice salon inside. All the staff were so nice too, with lots of cups of tea made for me. Would defo recommend :)”
